Education Committee

Organize and arrange the Face-to-Face and Qualified Education events that are put on each year.  Members on this committee can assist with securing panelists, venues, assisting with registration, greeting, logistics, and marketing. The committee works with the Membership/Advancement and Mentorship Committees to plan and coordinate events.

Membership/Advancement Committee

Recruit and develop new members and drives the advancement to Fellow (FACHE) status.  Responsibilities also include organizing networking events, sending out welcome letters to new chapter members, engaging new members to other committees, and facilitating membership drives.  Members on this committee can assist with event logistics, welcoming new members via email, recruiting other members, and coordination with the education committee on joint networking/educational events.  They also can assist with study group organization and planning as well as recognition of chapter members that have advanced to Fellow.

Mentorship Committee

Facilitate the pairing of mentees and mentors, encourage student members.

Outreach & Communications Committee

Website management includes frequent updating of information as well as posting of pictures and online event registration.  Members on this committee would be able to assist with any updates as well as development/improvement of additional links or topics.  Committee Newsletter management includes organizing the plan for each quarterly newsletter, assigning article authors, and uploading articles and pictures to the newsletter content manager.  Members on this committee serve as feature writers each quarter or write articles as needed.  There are also opportunities to manage the social media Linkedin, Twitter, and Facebook pages.

Scholarship Committee

Works with UNC Charlotte and Pfeiffer University for the existing annual MHA scholarship and works with other academic institutions to explore scholarship opportunities.  Members on this committee would serve as liaisons between the schools and help to continue our existing relationships while coordinating with the membership committee to engage the students within the chapter.

Sponsorship Committee

Provides feedback on sponsorship packages. Sets price guidelines for sponsorship packages in accordance with the board’s revenue goals. Identifies prospective Chapter sponsors. Monitors chapter sponsorship program to ensure that the program adheres to chapter policies.

Audit & Finance Committee

Responsible for auditing the finances of GCHEG and making sure we meet our duties to remain a 501 (c) (6) organization.

Diversity Committee

Foster an inclusive environment that recognizes the contributions and supports the advancement of all, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability because an inclusive environment can enhance the quality of healthcare, improve hospital/community relations, and positively affect the health status of society.

External Relationships Committee

Responsible for seeking out partnerships and building relationships within the GCHEG market to expand our educational and networking offerings.  Networks with other professional organizations and non-profits to highlight GCHEG’s mission/ role and seek opportunities to collaborate on events that mutually benefit both organizations.
