His career in healthcare spans more than 25 years and includes direct patient care, healthcare management and academics, as well as government and commercially funded healthcare. He is a board certified general pediatrician.

Mr. Wharton is an experienced Healthcare Executive, working at Caromont Health. Throughout his career,  areas of focus include: Emergency Dept./911 ops, Clinical & Support Services, Surgical Services, Ancillary Services, Acute Care/Critical Care, Hospital Operations & Post-Acute Services.
